Polysulfone is resistant to inorganic acids, alkalis, salt solutions, detergents and hydrocarbon oils. Contact with polar solvents such as ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons should be avoided because these types of compounds are prone to stress cracking or polysulfone resin dissolution.
